Privacy Policy

This notice covers the private, locally operated tool used by the administrator of the 英倫大小事 (England Matters) Facebook Page to prepare and publish Page posts. It is not a public-facing service and does not offer accounts or Facebook Login to readers.

Who operates the tool

The data controller and operator of this app is AMF Business Solutions and Services Ltd. The app is used by the administrator of the England Matters Facebook Page. For privacy questions or requests to access, correct, or delete information handled by this tool, contact EnglandMattersUK@gmail.com.

Information handled

The tool handles only the information needed to prepare, review, and manage posts for the Page:

• Page connection information: the Page ID and name, and a Page access token used to authenticate approved API requests. The token is stored in the operator's local configuration and is not included in AI prompts.
• Public news-source material: source URLs, titles, publication details, author names, and limited excerpts used for editorial review. News reports may themselves mention identifiable people.
• Editorial records: draft captions, generated or selected images, source evidence, approval notes, planned post times, publication receipts, and technical status information.

The tool does not collect Facebook readers' comments, reactions, follower lists, or private messages. It does not create profiles for readers or use their information for advertising.

How information is used

The operator uses this information to check the Page connection, prepare and review source-based content, publish a post only after an explicit operator action, and confirm or reconcile the result of that post.

When an AI writing, screening, verification, or image feature is enabled, selected public-source material, prompts, draft text, and image instructions may be sent to the AI service configured by the operator, including OpenAI when Codex or an OpenAI API feature is used. The Page access token is kept out of those content requests. The relevant provider's privacy terms also apply.

AI may assist with screening stories and preparing content, but a human operator reviews and explicitly approves each post. The tool does not make solely automated decisions about people that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Lawful basis

AMF Business Solutions and Services Ltd relies on its legitimate interests to manage and secure the Page, use publicly available reporting to prepare and publish current-affairs posts, and keep records that support corrections and avoid duplicate posts. AMF considers whether each use is necessary and proportionate and whether the rights and freedoms of the people concerned override these interests. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.

When information is shared

• Meta: the tool sends the Page ID, the Page access token for authentication, and the approved caption and image to Meta's Graph API when the operator checks, publishes, or reconciles a post. Meta handles this information under its own Privacy Policy. Published posts are visible to the Page's audience according to the Page's settings.
• Configured AI providers: selected editorial material may be sent for the specific AI task described above when that feature is enabled.
• Cloudflare Pages: the host for this static HTTPS page. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as IP address and traffic-routing data, to deliver and protect the page. Cloudflare may process information internationally; see its Privacy Policy for details and safeguards.

Information is not sold or provided to data brokers or advertising networks.

Where information is stored and how long it is kept

The posting tool and its editorial database run on the operator's own local computer. Its current automatic retention settings are:

• Source-item and feed-observation records: 7 days.
• Completed run history: 90 days.
• Cached AI-provider response bodies: 30 days; usage and accounting records may remain.
• Unreferenced temporary images: 7 days.
• Published-post receipts, stories, drafts, source evidence, approval history, and images attached to records: kept until the operator deletes them; they are not automatically deleted.

The operator protects the local installation and keeps its Page token in local secret configuration. Anyone with access to the operator's computer or its backups may be able to access locally stored records. Meta separately retains and controls Page content and records under its own policies.

Your choices and deletion requests

This tool has no public user accounts. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, your rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection to processing, and data portability. To ask the operator about personal information handled by the tool or to make a request, email EnglandMattersUK@gmail.com. Include enough information to identify the relevant Page or request, but do not email passwords or access tokens.

The Page administrator can disconnect the app through the Facebook account's app or business-integration settings. Disconnecting stops future API access but does not itself remove posts already published on the Page. The Page administrator can remove those posts using Facebook. Local editorial records and credentials are stored on the operator's computer and must be deleted there, including any retained backups, if their removal is wanted.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated if the tool's data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
